Freddy Lättekivi

I have received my BSc and MSc in Gene Technology at the University of Tartu. For my MSc thesis I investigated the transcriptional landscape of repetitive elements and human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) in the skin of psoriasis patients. During my MSc studies I developed a profound interest in bioinformatics and picked up programming and data management skills.

I joined the ERA Chair team in 2017 as a MSc student. Now, I continue as a member of prof. Fazelis research group and have embarked on my doctorate studies in search of biomarkers to aid in the diagnosis and prognosis of chronic inflammatory skin diseases. In addition to research work I also develop and maintain the databases for different ERA Chair projects.
