On 1^st of March we had a media training for the TransGeno work group members. Randel Kreitsberg and Katre Tatrik from the UT communication department came to talk about main principles in science communication – how to communicate effectively with different audiences, which communication tools to use, what are the main things to consider when writing a news article etc. Some possible ideas for future articles were already identified and hopefully soon we will start collaborating more on this with the communication department to get our research results more available for the general public.
