The participants were Estonian gymnasium students who were educated about the importance of UV light but also the dangers of excessive UV radiation to our skin. In addition to the lecture the students were given the opportunity to color both the cells that were exposed to UV radiation and the cells that had not been in contact with UV light. Students could also determine the viability of the cells with fluorescence microscope.
This Transgeno project workshop was the first in hopefully long list of different workshops and public engagement events to come.
