Medical Faculty Science Day 25-26.05

On 25-26th of May the Faculty of Medicine organised a Science Day where PhD students had the chance to present their scientific work with talks and posters.

This year the key presenter was prof Mart Saarma from University of Helsinki Institute of Biotechnology.

TransGeno project PhD students also introduced their work. Mohammad Mehedi Hasan´s presentation was “Isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles released from the human and bovine follicular fluid”. Arina Lavrits´talked about “Characterization of extracellular vesicles produced by single human embryos at early stages of development”. Kasun Godakumara´s presentation was about “Embryo-maternal communication via extracellular vesicles”. Freddy Lättekivi presented his work “Transcriptional landscape of human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) and other repetitive elements in psoriatic skin”.
