Invitation to guest seminar by associate professor Agne Velthut-Meikas

Dear All,

We are happy to invite you to a guest seminar by associate professor Agne Velthut-Meikas (Tallinn University of Technology, School of Science, Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology).
Agne Velthut-Meikas works as an associate professor at Tallinn University of Technology. Her area of research is the molecular basis of female infertility, especially infertility related to the ovary and endometrium. In her work she generate and analyze high-throughput data regarding gene expression and gene expression regulation by miRNAs to characterize inter- and intra-cellular signalling pathways. She teaches courses in the field of bioinformatic data analysis and health behavior.
Seminar title: “Gene expression and its regulation in human endometrium during the establishment of the window of implantation”.
Abstract: The seminar will present the results within the NOTED project (Non-invasive Test for Endometrial Dysfunction) aiming to gather novel information on endometrial gene expression and regulation during the establishment of the window of implantation. An important focus within the project was the possibility of observing RNA-level changes reflecting endometrial status in the blood samples.
Time: Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 10.30
Place: Tartu, Ravila 14b, seminar room at 2nd floor
The seminar is organized by the ERA Chair of Translational Genomics at the University of Tartu (European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 668989)
